Here’s how the rating works: the state divides complaints by customers (per 1,000) over six months and sorts every provider into five equal groups. Rhythm sits in the third.

BBB: not ratedChecked October 5, 2026

The BBB says it lacks enough information to rate Rhythm. It shows 29 complaints in three years, and reviews average 3.12 out of 5 across 17 reviews. Reviews don't count toward any grade.

The BBB's ad alert. In May 2024 the BBB flagged Rhythm's billboard and online ads claiming the “best” prices and “lowest” rate, saying claims like that need proof. The BBB says the ads were still running in November 2025.

06 · Bill-credit traps

When does Rhythm's cheapest plan cost more?

Max Saver 24 looks like a steal at 1,000 kWh: 8.7¢ in Dallas, thanks to a $125 bill credit. The catch: that credit lands only in months when you use 1,000 kWh or more. Drop to 500 kWh and the same plan jumps to 21.1¢, the priciest of any Rhythm plan.

Rule of thumb: Max Saver 24 only wins in months near 1,000 kWh. Use 999 kWh and you lose the whole $125; use 2,000 kWh and it costs more than Digital Choice 24. If your usage swings with the seasons, a Digital Choice plan is the safer bet, especialy in mild months.
