The 4 things to know

  • You must be a PECO customer. Gas rebates need PECO natural gas, which reaches only Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties and parts of Lancaster County. Philadelphia County gets its gas from another company.
  • Do not double up. An instant discount and a rebate cannot both go on one item.
  • Apply within 90 days. Keep the receipt.
  • Solar rebates are separate. PECO has its own page for them.

Built on public data from PECO's home rebate program pages (appliance, heating and cooling, and water heating), its natural gas eligibility page and its Smart Driver Rebate page. Read November 3, 2026.

01 · The finder

What are my PECO rebates worth?

Check the things you plan to buy. The finder adds up the rebates and leaves out the ones your home cannot use, such as gas rebates without PECO gas.

What are you buying or replacing?

Check what you plan to buy. Your rebates show here.

How we got this: each line is the amount PECO lists for that item, added up. "Up to" means the top amount, and your real amount may be lower. Amounts change without notice, so confirm each one with PECO before you buy. A guide, not a promise of payment.

This is a guide built from PECO's published amounts. PECO decides every rebate, so confirm the amount before you buy.

    02 · Appliances

    What are PECO's appliance rebates?

These are for PECO electric customers who buy a qualifying model.

    Dehumidifier$25
    Refrigerator$20

A smart thermostat pays by your type of heating and cooling system, and you claim it online. PECO also pays the $10 recycling fee for old room air conditioners, dehumidifiers and mini fridges at its "Anything with a Plug" events.

    03 · Heating and cooling

What do heating and cooling pay?

The gas rebates are only for homes in PECO's natural gas area: Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties and parts of Lancaster County. Homes in Philadelphia County get gas from another provider and are not eligible. A gas furnace or boiler must be the main or sole source of heat. New construction is not eligible. Renters should ask the owner first. These are changes to the building. For questions about heating and cooling rebates, PECO lists the email pecohomerebates@cmcenergy.com.

    04 · Electric vehicles

Does PECO pay for an electric car?

Yes, a small one. PECO's Smart Driver Rebate pays $50 to a residential PECO customer who buys a battery electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. You must be the account holder or live at the same address, or pay for electric service in your rent. The vehicle's main charging place must be in PECO's service area. Rebate funds are limited. The rebate form must be in by December 31, 2026, and PECO must receive your application within 90 days of the purchase date. This is a car rebate. PECO's page does not list a home charger rebate for residents.

    05 · Free help

Can I get a free energy checkup?

Yes. The Free Energy Checkup costs nothing for income-qualified homes. It includes free energy-saving products and a health and safety check. Homes that heat with electricity can get the Free Energy Checkup+, which adds free upgrades. Call 888-573-2672, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. PECO's page has an income table by household size.

    06 · More offers

    What else does PECO offer?

PECO also lists instant discounts in its online marketplace, Flex and Save Rewards, builder rebates for new homes, energy assessments and a solar rebate page. Those have their own rules, so check PECO's page for each.

    07 · Your bill

    Do rebates lower my bill?

A rebate is cash back on a purchase. The saving on your bill comes from using less. PECO's supply price per kWh stays the same. See PECO rates and Budget Billing for your bill, and the price to compare to check the price you pay for the energy you still use.

Using less is step one. Step two is checking what plans cost at your ZIP.

    08 · Claiming

How do I avoid losing a PECO rebate?

    • Check the model first. Only qualifying ENERGY STAR models earn a rebate.
    • Apply within 90 days. The clock starts when you buy.
    • Keep the receipt. Save it with the model number.
    • Do not double up. An instant discount and a rebate cannot both go on one item.
    Your next step

Rebates cut your use. Next, see if PECO's price to compare is the best price for the power you still use.
