ReVision Energy review: a spotless record, with one thing to get in writing.

ReVision has zero BBB complaints and does its own installs. It has sold solar in New England since 2003. The one gap is that we could not find its warranty terms anywhere online. Here is how to get them before you sign.

Short answer

Yes. ReVision Energy has one of the cleanest records we have seen. It scores 76 out of 100 on our public-records formula. It has no BBB complaints, an A+ grade and no lawsuits over its sales. Its own crews install, and five of its people hold the top installer credential. It lost points because we could not find its warranty terms in writing. It also does not show loan fees.

Built on public data from ReVision’s own financing, service and company pages, federal court records, NABCEP and the Better Business Bureau. Checked October 2026.

01 · The record

Zero BBB complaints and a clean legal record

ReVision Energy’s BBB file shows no complaints at all. That is rare for a company that has sold solar for more than 20 years.

0BBB complaints on file. ReVision’s BBB profile shows none, the only company in our national reviews with a clean sheet. Its grade is A+.

We also found no state actions and no lawsuits over how it sells solar. The only court case we found is an insurance company’s property claim, which ended in 2025. It was not about customers, so it does not count.

A clean record does not guarantee a perfect install. But it is a strong sign that customers rarely feel they need outside help to get things fixed.

02 · The gap

The one big gap: no warranty terms we could find

We looked on ReVision’s site and in two of its guides. We found no workmanship years, no roof-leak years and no transfer terms in writing.

ReVision’s own guide to avoiding shady solar practices tells buyers to ask about warranties. It just does not list its own terms. Its support page says it can share the remaining warranty time with a new owner. Its lease comes with a 25-year performance guarantee, a promise about how much power you will make.

Without written terms, our formula cannot give credit for them. That cost ReVision 17 points, the biggest gap in its score. The fix is easy: ask for the terms before you sign. The builder below writes that message for you.

Some pieces do show up elsewhere. Its prepaid-lease page lists a 10-year workmanship warranty for that plan. Its resource pages say it guarantees its roof work will be free of leaks, with no number of years. A 2024 post says warranties move to a new owner when you sell. None of these is a full written warranty for people who pay cash or take a loan.

03 · Warranty builder

Ask ReVision for its warranty in writing

Pick your questions, copy the message and send it to ReVision. Keep the written answer with your contract.

04 · The score

How ReVision scores 76

ReVision earned full marks for its legal record, crews, time in business and BBB grade. Missing warranty papers cost it the most.

ReVision missed 24 points. Contract terms cost 17, because we found no written workmanship, roof-leak or equipment warranty terms and no outside backup. Hidden loan fees cost 5. No equipment-maker certification cost 2.

The same formula scores every company, using public records only. ReVision pays us nothing, and ads never change a score.

05 · Price

Prices in a calculator, and honest about the tax credit

ReVision has an online calculator that shows an upfront price. It also tells buyers the truth about the federal tax credit.

The calculator starts with a small 1.48 kW system in Maine at $7,385 before incentives. Small systems cost more per watt, so enter your own home for a real number. Showing prices online earned ReVision 6 points.

For loans, ReVision points to two credit unions that lend up to $100,000, but it lists no rates or fees. Its financing page says the home solar tax credit is no longer available, which is right. That earned it the 4 points for honest tax-credit claims.

06 · Who installs

ReVision’s own crews do the work

ReVision says it does everything in-house, from design to install to service. That is worth all 12 points.

Its partners page puts it plainly: “we do it all in-house.” Its team also holds the credentials that matter. NABCEP, the top solar certification group, lists 14 ReVision people, including 5 with the installation credential.

One gap: we found no equipment-maker certification, like Tesla or Enphase. Ask which brands its crews are trained to install, especially if you want a battery.

07 · More than solar

More than solar: heat pumps, batteries and EV chargers

ReVision sells a full set of home energy upgrades, not just panels.

Besides solar, it offers batteries from Tesla and FranklinWH, EV chargers, heat pumps and heat pump water heaters. It also offers community solar and ground-mounted systems. You can pay cash, take a loan, or choose its Solar Lease or PowerPath palns.

If you want several upgrades at once, one company can handle them all. Ask whether bundling changes the price, and get each warranty in writing.

08 · Where it sells

Three New England states

ReVision serves three states. It does not sell in Texas, so it is not in our Texas ranking.

  • Maine
  • New Hampshire
  • Massachusetts

Its locations page lists its offices. Before you sign, check its license on your state’s license website.

In Massachusetts, its home improvement registration (189904) and electrical business license (4015-EL-A1) were active when we checked in October 2026.

09 · Before you sign

Three steps before you sign with ReVision

ReVision’s record is strong. These steps close the one gap.

  1. Get the warranty in writing. Use the builder above, and keep the answer with your contract.
  2. Ask about loan fees. If you finance, get every fee and the rate on paper.
  3. Confirm the crew. Ask which ReVision team will install, and whether a NABCEP pro leads it.
