Short answer

Yes, on the records. All Energy Solar scores 64 out of 100 on our public-records formula. It has an A+ BBB grade, just four complaints in three years and NABCEP-certified staff. It is not a defendant in any lawsuit we found. It lost points because we found no warranty terms in writing, it shows no prices or loan fees, and partners install outside its home states.

01 · The record

Only four BBB complaints in three years

All Energy Solar has one of the lightest complaint files we have seen. All four complaints got a reply.

4BBB complaints in three years, February 2024 to March 2026. All four were about billing or loans.

One owner said their loan payment went up after a rebate payment, and blamed the installer. Another said emails and calls went unanswered for months after a new project coordinator took over. Two said installs or utility approval took longer than promised. In its replies, the company says the systems work as designed.

02 · The lawsuit

Named in a lender lawsuit, but not a defendant

In 2024, Minnesota’s Attorney General sued four solar lenders. The complaint names All Energy Solar as the installer with the most loans from those lenders.

The suit targets the lenders, not installers. The Attorney General’s announcement names Fifth Third, GoodLeap, Mosaic and Sunlight. The court docket lists those lenders as defendants. All Energy Solar is not one of them. The complaint counts 2,311 of its sales financed by those lenders.

The case is about how solar loans were set up and sold, including fees. That is why we built the loan checker below. Use it on any solar loan quote, from any company.

03 · Loan checker

Check your solar loan for a hidden fee

Many solar loans add a fee by making the loan bigger than the cash price. This checker finds the gap.

Loan fee checker

Is there a hidden fee in your solar loan?

Enter the cash price and the loan amount from your quote. If the loan is bigger than the cash price, the gap is a fee you pay for financing.

All Energy Solar lists loans of 8 to 20 years, but no rates or fees, which cost it 5 points. Ask for both in writing.

04 · The score

How All Energy Solar scores 64

It earned full marks for its legal record, time in business and BBB grade. Its warranty paperwork is the weak spot.

All Energy Solar missed 36 points. Warranty terms cost 17, because we found no written workmanship, roof-leak or equipment terms and no backup. Price took 11, since it posts no prices or loan fees. Partner installers outside its home states cost 6. A missing equipment-maker certification cost 2.

05 · Warranty

Its warranty is not in writing online

We found no workmanship or roof-leak years on its site. Its FAQ says the warranty papers come at the end of your project.

One page says systems are “warrantied for 25 years,” but it does not say what is covered or by whom. Its EnergyLock prepaid lease promises 25 years of energy at a fixed rate with guaranteed production. That counts as a production guarantee, a promise about how much power you will make.

Before you sign: ask for the warranty papers now, not at the end. Ask who would honor them if the company closed. No installer we review names an outside backup yet. How we score warranty backup.

Its own pages disagree with each other. A 2024 post says it now offers a 25-year workmanship warranty, while its FAQ says 5 years. For panels taken off and put back, one page says 2 years of coverage and another says 1. Your closeout papers decide, so get the exact years in your contract.

06 · Who installs

Its own crews at home, partners elsewhere

All Energy Solar calls itself “one company that does it all.” Outside its home states, partner companies install.

That mix earns 6 of the 12 points for who installs. If you live outside its home states, ask which company will do your job, and get its license number.

NABCEP lists six All Energy Solar people in Minnesota, including one wtih the top installer credential. We found no equipment-maker certification. It sells Tesla and Enphase batteries, EV chargers and roofing in some areas.

07 · Where it sells

Six states, with support in three more

All Energy Solar lists six states for home solar. Its service page adds South Dakota, Nebraska and North Dakota for local support.

  • Illinois
  • Iowa
  • Massachusetts
  • Minnesota
  • New Hampshire
  • Wisconsin

Since it has no Texas business, our Texas ranking leaves it out. Its company page lists the six states. Check its license on your state’s website before you sign.

In Massachusetts, its home improvement registration (175144) and electrical business license (662-EL-A1) were active when we checked in October 2026.
